adjustments cranks

In front the Alleweder had only 1 chain wheel (65 t) when I bought it. That one is still there, because I have plenty of gears with the NEXUS 8-speed rear hub. Standard crankarm length was 170mm. I wanted to shorten the crankarms to 155mm, which was also changed for me at Velomobiel.nl . They took the standard 170mm crank arms en drilled new holes in it.
Because of the shorter cranks, the seat had to move forward. The attachment at the top of the seat was carefully bent, so it could move forward a little. The seat is a little more reclined now, which is perfect with me ( I guess that recline now is around 35°). I also have a little bit more of room for my knees in the front part of the velomobile.

I expected some kind of getting used to-period after having the cranks shortened, especially since the Alleweder is the only bicycle with short cranks ( all my other bikes have 170 and 175mm cranks). But that did not happen, I got used to it very soon. There was absolutely no adjustment periode that I could notice with my muscles or my joints. Only difference right now is that my cadence is a little bit higher compared to my other bikes, which is not a bad thing at all.
